Meditrina New Location and Ragamala Dance

Last week, we took Mama and Papa Pok out.  First we went to Meditrina at their new location on 165 W Harvey Milk Blvd (900 South).   They've changed up the menu quite a bit but kept a few favorites like the mushrooms and brie, and the patatas bravas.  It does seem like they scaled down the menu a lot and their prices seemed to be higher.  We ordered the trout and it was pretty pricey for the portion size.  It had a parsnip goat cheese mash at the bottom, then mushrooms, the trout and topped with arugula.  It was actually quite delicious but we are not quite sure if it was worth the price.

Another new item we tried was the mushroom ceviche.  This was quite good and seemed to be a more reasonable price.

The food at Meditrina has always been good but we were surprised at the downsize of the menu and the upsize of the pricing.

Something to note is that now they will be serving brunch.  We love brunch at their sister restaurant The Porch and hope that this will be equally as good.

After dinner, we went to see Ragamala Dance Company at Kingsbury Hall.  The show was amazing. The dancers did a wonderfully elegant job.  Mama Pok loved their outfits and Chanda, who joined us there was inspired with ideas for his own dance troupe.

Poonam, if you are reading this, Chanda and Sothea are already talking about learning Indian dances for your wedding.  They were inspired!
