West Side Story
The world’s greatest
love story takes to the streets in this landmark Broadway musical that is one of
theatre’s finest accomplishments. Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” is
transported to modern-day NYC, as Tony and Maria, two idealistic young lovers
from opposite sides of the tracks, find themselves caught between warring
street gangs, the Jets and the Sharks. Intertwined with powerful music and
dance, their struggle to survive in a world of violence and prejudice is one of
the most exciting, stirring and heart-wrenching musical dramas of our time.
