Last week, we went to a wine social with our friends, Daniel and Nai. We have been to a few wine pairings in Salt Lake. This was a first for Nai and Daniel. They seemed to really enjoy it. Nai loved the food.
The pairings were small bites and Orin Swift Location wines. They did a very good job pairing the wine with the foods. We started off with Pickled Crawfish on Butter Lettuce. It was paired with Orin Swift Locations Corse. We all agreed this was the best pairing of the night.

Next was a Beef Carpaccio with arugula and a caper vinaigrette. It was paired with the Orin Swift Locations I. This was Nai's favorite dish of the night. She is a Beef Carpaccio lover.

Next was a Blue Cheese Flan with a sherry fig compote and beet sticks. It was paired with the Orin Swift Locations E. It was a very fun and playful cheese course.

The last pairing was a Chimichurry Rojo Flank Steak with a carrot radish salad. This was paired with the Orin Swift Locations AR. This was Sothea's favorite wine of the night. It is a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tannat. It has dense dark fruit flavors. We were told that they don't have many of these left at the wine store so we have to grab a bottle before they are gone.

Orin Swift makes some really good wines. The E and the I can be found at the wine stores and some liquor stores. They also make another wine called the Prisoner which is one of our favorite wines.
We had a fun night and can't wait to have another double date with this cute couple.
