Ikigai

Wow, just wow.  Ikigai is incredible which makes our longing for Naked Fish a lot easier.  They took away Sothea's beloved skewers but after this wonderful meal, she didn't miss them as much.  We started of with scallop chips.  It was a great little bit to start off with.

Hotate Chip

We ordered the sprouts.  The broth was delicious.  Som would have picked up the bowl and slurped it all but decided it probably wasn't the best idea!

Brussel Sprouts

With the change from Naked Fish to Ikigai, they did get rid of sushi rolls, which we didn't mind or miss at all.  They do still have fish, more sashimi style.  We ordered two different ones, both presented simply and beautiful.  Both light and fresh.

We ordered the pork belly and out of all the dishes, we would have to say this is the must try dish.

And we aren't done yet.  We still ordered more.  We also ordered this mussel dish.  Everything we ate was delicious and these mussels were no different.

And don't forget about dessert.  Honestly, we don't remember what other desserts were on the menu. Som saw this one which was made with Japanese Whisky so he had to have it.  You could taste hints of Japanese Whisky in the chocolate.  It added quite a nice savory note to the dish.  Japanese Whisky lovers must try.

Dinner was great and the service was just as great.  Everyone was super attentive and nice.  Every dish was explained to us.  We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
