We love
Pallet. It has definitely become one of our favorite places in Salt Lake. Every time we go there, they always impress us. This meal, we started with the appetizer special. It had octopus, tomatoes, and pieces of fried bread. It was simple, clean, and delicious. At some places, we are a little iffy at getting what's on special because most the time, it's mediocre. But everything that we have gotten at Pallet on their specials menu has been great.

Then we had the Kale salad. It has kale, anchovy, pine nuts, and Parmesan. If you like anchovies, you have to try this salad.

For the entrees, we had the trout. It also had heirloom beans, maitake mushrooms, and chorizo. The saltiness of the chorizo complemented the trout perfectly. We also had the scallops with tomato, lentils, shallots, bacon, and artichoke. Also delicious but the trout was our favorite.

After, dinner we ordered some vanilla ice cream and digestifs. Now neither of us really know much about after dinner drinks so our waiter was a great help. He was very knowledgeable and described everything rather well. We chose two different ones off the menu. We don't even remember the names but they were both amaros. After we took a couple sips, the bartender came out with citrus peels to try with our drinks. They were the perfect complements to the drinks. We are so happy he came out with those. Service is wonderful there.
