Date Night - Granary Row

Date night doesn't always have to be extravagant or expensive. Last week's date night was at Granary Row which is located between 300 and 400 West on 700 South.  You can't miss it. There are a bunch of shipping containers lined up on the north side of the street. Some of those serve as storefronts.  We did not visit any of the stores. A few were put together to make a stage.  To the east of the stage is a beer garden.  It was $5 for a cup of beer but their selection was very slim. They had 3 different ones but not one was a dark beer which Sothea prefers.  There were plenty of seats in the beer garden and it was a great place to sit back and enjoy the music.

Freestyle Foodie Mongolian Grill
They also had 3 food trucks there that night. We had food from the Freestyle Foodie Mongolian Grill truck.  We like the idea of building your own stir fry.  Pick a protein, noodles, produce and sauce. The portions were a good size for $8.  But both our meals had too much sauce on it. Sothea ordered the Trippin' Teriyaki and everything tasted like Teriyaki,  You wouldn't even be able to tell what was in it besides the sauce.  Som loves spicy and Sriracha so he ordered the Sriracha-Lover's Dream. There was so much sauce on it, he could only eat half.

Overall, we did have a good time.  We spent $15 plus tip on beers and $16 plus tip on food. A date night for $35, sounds good to us.
